The Loft is accessed by a set of stairs to the first floor and is a split level conversion of a barn built in 1826. It has a wealth of character showing many of its original features with exposed beams and vaulted ceilings. It looks out on to the cobbled courtyard and the former farmhouse, Rake House. It’s carpeted throughout, except for the kitchen and bathroom, which are tiled.

The Loft and The Carriage Barn can be linked as an extra cost option so that The Loft can be used as a one bedroom property sleeping two people or as a two bedroom property sleeping up to five people. The second bedroom (from The Carriage Barn) has its own en-suite and both bathrooms have been finished in a contemporary style.

More information on the layout of The Loft:

Ground Floor:

• Entrance hall from undercover carport with stairs leading to the first floor level. There are eleven 8” (20cm) steps, which are carpeted with a handrail to the left.

First Floor:

• At the top of the stairs on the landing is a door to the left leading to the optional second bedroom. From the landing is a door to the large storage cupboard, kitchen and dining area that leads to the lounge, master bedroom, bathroom and dressing room:
• Kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, integrated fridge freezer, integrated dishwasher, integrated washer dryer, microwave, kettle, De Longhi Espresso maker and toaster. All pans, crockery, glasses, dishes, kitchen implements and cutlery are provided. Ample supplies of Twinings tea, coffee, sugar and kitchen consumables are also included.
• Dining area with extended oak dining table and four brown, high backed leather chairs with two 5” (12cm) steps leading down to:
• Lounge area featuring a comfortable, brown leather sofa and chaise. A 32” flat screen TV and Freeview, DVD player and supply of films. There is also a supply of magazines and books. Five open tread wooden stairs lead to:
• Landing with door to the right for the bathroom, next right to the bedroom and straight ahead to the dressing room.
• Master bedroom with Sealy king-size posture bed with hotel standard duvet and pillows with white cotton bed linen.
• Dressing room with wardrobe, drawers, ironing board, iron and full length mirror.
• Bathroom with large walk in electric shower. Towels are provided.
• Optional second bedroom with double bed and single bed. En-suite shower room.
• Free high speed WiFi.
